SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Allen County Bar Association sponsors two academic scholarships annually. Applicants are high school seniors in Allen County with plans to attend an institution of higher education in the fall. Applications and essay topics are posted on this web page annually in March, with additional notice sent to local high school guidance counselors. Essays are submitted anonymously to the Scholarship Committee, which reviews and awards the scholarships to the authors of the two best essays submitted.

The winners of the scholarships are typically announced at the annual celebration of Law Day in May. Winning authors will be asked to attend the ACBA Law Day luncheon and orally present their essay. Photographs of the winning authors may be later published on this website.

To submit an essay, please download and complete the application below and send it with your essay (Microsoft Word format) to the address provided on the application form.
